This table provides a flag that indicates if an ETHNIC_GRP_CD is Hispanic/Latino or not (HISP_LATINO). The only ETHNIC_GRP_CD's that are Hispanic/Latino are HISPA, MEXAM, and PUERTO. Since these codes will always be in the ETHNIC_GRP_TBL - Ethnic Group Table and DIVERS_ETHNIC - Ethnic Diversity tables, it is not necessary to use the ETHNICITY_DTL table to determine if a student or employee is Hispanic/Latino.
