Meeting Notes

• DARTS regular Finance meeting with Darla Reynolds, Miriam White, Miki Yanagi, Tamara Saarinen and Rachel Groenhout. The purpose of these meetings is to educate the DARTS team on the intricacies of finance fields, tables, trees, etc. and their usage.

• UM Facilities (March 5, 2019) - Corina Larsen and Miki Yanagi met with Nancy Hayden at her office to show her how to populate the pivot table and add it to the individual department template.
• UM Facilities (December 6, 2018) - Corina Larsen and Miki Yanagi met with Nancy Hayden and discussed to create pivot table for facilities monthly report. The follow-up discussion was held via Zoom on 12/13/18 once finalized the pivot table with file connection.
• Face to face/ Zoom Power BI workshop by Microsoft was held on 11/14/18. 32 people participated. The follow-up discussion was held on 12/5/18.
• NSFA Account Manager Training (October 17, 2018) - Corina Larsen, Emma Gelsinger, and Miki Yanagi performed training on basic PeopleSoft Query Viewer to 23 account managers of UMS05 College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture (NSFA) with 4 query manager users in NSFA Office.
• Finance & DARTS (September 20, 2018) - Matthew Byther, Kate Van Dine, Rachel Groenhout, Tamara Saarinen, and Miki Yanagi met to discuss recent tickets submitted to the Finance team and gather feedback on ongoing approach. The group agreed that future questions should be directed, via JIRA, to Emily Johnston; if at any point either group would like to revise this approach, we will reconvene.
• Financial Reporting meeting (July 20, 2018) - David Demers, Gary Lagasse, Matthew Byther, Kate Van Dine, Miriam White, Darla Reynolds, Rachel Groenhout, Emma Gelsinger, Tamara Saarinen, and Miki Yanagi met to gain a better understanding of the broad landscape of Finance & tools. • Discoverer reports list, feedback, and other communication between UMS Accounting Office and DARTS is saved on shared drive.
• List of discoverer reports is shared with UMS Budget Office for review.
• Miki met staff at UM Budget Office to identify the priority of the reports.
• List of discoverer reports is shared with UMA Finance Office for review.

• Financial Aid Office meeting (April 18, 2018) - Corina Larsen and Miki Yanagi met with Amy Macdougall and went through PeopleSoft Query Manager and DARTS homepage.
• UM Facilities Training (March 10, 2018) - Corina Larsen and Miki Yanagi met with Nancy Hayden and Heidi Buck from UM Facilities Office. We performed training on basic PeopleSoft Query Manager using their new queries. Nancy will talk to Paula Shannon about new query, which is the follow-up topic from a meeting with Miki on 3/5/18.
• NSFA Training Agenda 2 (March 27, 2018) - Miki Yanagi and Corina Larsen returned, at the request of NSFA, to perform more in-depth training for the group. See agenda for specific topics. Since this training, Miki has been working together with NSFA team members for the queries.
• NSFA Training Agenda (February  26, 2018) - Emma Gelsinger, Miki Yanagi and Corina Larsen from the DARTS team met with representatives of UMS05 Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture (NSFA) to review their queries which were recreated in PeopleSoft from Discoverer. We performed training on basic PeopleSoft Query Manager using their new queries. Through the discussion, there were a few minor changes made to the queries. Feedback was positive.
