Query can be moved between different environments in Campus Solutions with Query Manger. It has to be set up by DBA. Log in to the database where query is moving to and go to Navigator > University of Maine System > Utilities > Query Mover. Once you see the page, you can choose database and query name. The Query Mover is available in Campus Solutions only.
Example: I want to move ACAD_PLAN query, which is in CSTSR, to CSRPT.
- Log into CSRPT
- Go to Query Mover (Navigator > University of Maine System > Utilities > Query Mover).
- Enter "CSTSR" for Remote Database
- Enter "ACAD_PLAN" for Query Name
- Hit "Move a Query"
Notes
Even though you had the permissions in CSPRD to invoke Query Mover, the Query Mover utility itself has its own security to govern who can move queries, from what databases, and what type of queries. Contact John St. Peter to set up permission.
