It is possible to create a prompt that returns all of a prompts values (for instance, Business units or Institution) if the prompt field is left blank when you run a query. 

  1. Go to Prompt Properties by clicking "Prompts" tab and "Edit"
  2. Check the "Optional" box marked 
  3. Leave the default value blank
  4. Click OK

Select Optional checkbox in the Edit Prompt Properties dialogue box
