You can open the PeopleSoft Query tool by clicking on the MaineStreet icon in your MyCampus portal. Your icons may be somewhat different, but you should have this MaineStreet link. If not, go to mainestreet.maine.edu, click to go to mainestreet (if prompted) then log in.

From the MaineStreet menu find Enterprise Applications and select the database you are running queries in. If unsure, follow this link for more information: Financials, Campus Solutions, or Human Resources (referred to as FN, CS and HR respectively).

If you see the PS Query tile in your dashboard, click the PS Query tile to continue. (mostly available in CS and HR)

If you don't see the tile, click the navigator icon on the top right corner.

Click "Navigator" and the pane expands. Go to "Reporting Tools" > Query > "Query Viewer" or "Query Manager" . You may have access to only Query Viewer, or both Query Manager and Query Viewer.

You can add Query Viewer or Manager in "Favorites" to save time for next time. Choose the more dots, and click Add to Favorites. (You can also personalize MaineStreet page.)

Organizing Your Queries
Once you find your query, you have some options to organize your landing page. The search below was for UMS_DTS_S and turned up all of the relevant queries. Once you find your query, you have the option to save it to your favorites. A handy feature if you are running the same report frequently.
For Query Viewer users, click 'Favorite' link after finding a query.

For Query Manager users, click the Select box on the left of the query you want and choose Add to Favorites from the drop-down Action menu.

Going forward, the query will show in My Favorite Queries when you access Query Viewer or Manager. Any private queries will show first followed by public queries you have added to favorites.

Running a Report (Query)
Now you can run the query by selecting HTML under Run to HTML. The query will then open in a new tab in your browser and will provide the option to download to excel. Click on HTML, enter any additional criteria required on the next page and click "view results." You also have the option to run to Excel directly, which will automatically download the query in an excel document to your computer. If you have a query that takes too long to run, or returns a truncated data set, you can schedule the query. See Scheduling Queries for the instructions.
