Report Purpose

In September, the UMS Controller's Office requests an annual report detailing a 1) Headcount of students, 2) Credit Hours, and 3) FTE based on last year's census.  The PS query UMS_IR_STUDENT_SUMMARY_REPORT was developed by UMS Institutional Research on September 20, 2017 after receiving this request for data. The data source is the Student Reporting Extract (UM_STUD_CENS_VW). After running the query, the tables can be generated via pivot in Excel. The first table contains the total regardless of residency, and two others separate these numbers by tuition residency (one for in-state and another for out-of-state). Each table breaks out these numbers into three groups based on full/part-time status (Total, Full-Time, and Part-Time). The report provides a breakdown by career (Associate, Baccalaureate, Non-Degree Assoc-Bacc, Graduate, Law, and Total) and student level (First, Second, Third, and Fourth Year). For Graduate, data are not separated by Level by Degree/Non-Degree. Law also includes a row for "Law Non-degree."
